Sheila's Tree

In November 2020, a tree dedication was held on UACCM's campus for Shelia Sommers who was an active member of ArkACRAO and part of the UACCM family for 21 years.  She was well-loved for her fun-loving, adventurous spirit, her grit and determination, as well as her commitment and service to thousands of students.  Sheila passed away in October 2019.

Located where it can be seen from the Registrar’s Office windows, the tree has a plaque placed in front of it. Brandi Tripp and Patti Carson were able to represent ArkACRAO, purchased the tree in her memory, at the ceremony.  "It was lovely and fitting tribute" said Tripp.  "Those who attended were asked to write something on a leaf and hang it on the tree. These notes will be taken down and given to the family."
